Apparently...

...I'm doing my part in furthering the disintegration of traditional family values. And I had no idea.

It seems I'm doing this by supporting and loving a close family member who chose to live (unmarried) with a man and have his baby.

Someone punish me. I'm a terrible person.

I also forgot that Narrow-mindedness was the new color for fall.

*rolls eyes*

You are a decent, caring person, Kelly, who sees more value in being supportive than being judgmental. Don’t let people get you down.

Just this last year, my wife’s younger sister had a beautiful little girl -- outside of wedlock -- and we’re been there for them emotionally and financially. It’s been very rewarding. (Our niece is adorable!)

It’s wonderful that you’re there for your loved one. Good for you!

Thank you, Bill, for the kind comments. And huge congrats on your lovely niece.

Now, now, Kelly -- remember: we live in Maryland, a decidedly BLUE state, right?

Except my neck of the woods, the reddest portion of the state. Someone keeps stealing our Obama sign. Country first indeed!

Heh. Well, the folks wearing this lovely shade of Narrow-mindedness are from Delaware (my home state). Which seems to be extremely checkerboard, depending on where you go.

It's funny. In my town, there are at least a dozen McCain signs in yards, but only one Obama sign. Guess I live in a red town, too. :)

Hi Kelly,

Don't let them get you down. You are doing the right thing. Narrowminded need to open their door a bit more.
